Rushed back to KL last Friday to attend the Nuffnang Asia Pasific Blog Awards 2011 the bf invited me to attend with him, to be his date for that night. This is the 2nd awards night organized by Nuffnang. Was supposed to attend the 1st one back in 2009 in Singapore. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, we didn’t manage to go.

Anywayyyy…..

Read tweets at 3pm while waiting in the airport and everyone seem to be getting ready and some even had their hair done already! Arrived in KL at 5.50pm and started getting ready at 6.30pm. At that time, everyone was probably on their way there already or maybe arrived already. And I baru wanna start to bathe.

Honestly, I wasn’t happy because I had to rush. Girls like to take their own sweet time putting on make ups and do their hair nice nice and dress up and make sure they look their best. I don’t even have that chance! I cried upon arrival to KL because I already felt so tired and then need to rush for this event. I made the bf felt so bad….hehhh..

Anywayyyyyy…..

I did my make up so quickly, tried curling my hair fast ended up burning my shoulder and my FACE!

PEK CHEK!!!

I now have 2 burn marks. Finally I gave up and tied my hair in a neat bun. Then, I used a straightener to straighten some curly part of my hair and my bangs and i accidentally CURLED MY BANGS. Another pek chek moment ……!!! It was a disaster…I did whatever I can to straightened it back but failed. Gone extremely extremely extremely pek cek….So I just ended up using a bobby pin to pin it aside.

The bf could only sit and feel helpless while I walk up and down to find solutions to all the pek chek moments.. It’s a girl thing. Boys can’t help much you see…

So here’s the final result after all the rushing.

Flash’s too bright, necklace senget-ed. And you can see the part of my bangs that I “destroyed”.

We arrived very very late. Thank God we didn’t miss much.

Not gonna blog about the event yet.

Will blog another round!

Till then…….

The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Perioperative) is coming to an end. Been in this course for 7 months, and we’re down to 2 more months. This final 2 months will be our attachment week in 2 different hospitals. This time, I am posted in another hospital.

Photobucket

It’s so hard to get cases over in that hospital. That hospital specialized in ophthalmic surgeries (eye surgeries), and have common cases for general surgeries and obstetric and gynaecology surgeries. This time round, we need to fulfill a certain number of criteria for specialized disciplines like cardiothoracic surgeries (heart and lung surgeries), neuro surgery (brain, nerve, spine surgery), otorhinolaryngology (ear, nose, throat), head and neck surgery , oro-maxillo facial surgeries, plastic and reconstructive surgeries, vascular surgeries and organ transplantation. The problem is, all we do is ‘goyang kaki‘ everyday, walking around the theater aimlessly and talk talk talk talk talk.

The theater is huge, for a private. That hospital has also 12 theaters, but is less busier than where I come from. Visited my own workplace today and they have much more cases to do. Good for those being attached there.

Also got to know I passed my paper exam. Not sure on how well or bad I did, but I passed. Looking forward to graduate again though. Haha.

It was quite a surprise to have him all the way down here to spend the V-day with me.

The only thing that was planned was his trip down. Flowers, dinner and night out was all random. Quite fun I would say.

Photobucket

Because all that matters is just having him around.

Photobucket

And although it was just one rose, I am still a very happy girl that night.
Despite being together for 7 years+, this is only our 3rd V-day celebration together due to Long Distance Relationship (LDR).

We can pull it through!

I never knew what “Huat Ah” means. Was wondering the meaning when everyone wishes me that. Then, a friend told me that “Huat” means “Fa” or “Fatt“, which means prosperity.

And being a working adult, their well wishes are mostly, “Be prosperous”. Not that is bad, just feeling different. When I was much younger, CNY is all about fun and collecting ang pows. Never really bother about prosperity. Prosperity is good, but treat prosperity wise too.

But anyways, Chinese New Year is not all about being prosperous. It is also the time to spend time with your loved ones.

Had reunion dinner with the bf’s family for the 2nd time. The food were awesome! =D Then, the bf drove me back to Kuantan and spent the first day of CNY with me and my family for the first time. Had an awesome time together though.

2nd day of CNY is the most meriah one, when my relatives came down from Singapore, JB and KL. Of course, it gets more meriah when we have our 2 lil cousins along. =)

Amanda and Tarnia greeted us with “Gong Xi Fa Cai!” and they cheered us up with their big bright happy smiles!

Our reunion dinner mainly falls on the 2nd or 3rd day of CNY where everybody is back home. The food, oh so yummilicious Hainanese food!

sometimes, its also great hanging out with extended relatives too.

On the 3rd day of CNY, we went for our usual beach outing as the cousins loves the beach. This time we headed over to Pantai Sepat. It’s been awhile since I been there. It’s clean and not crowded!

This is also the best opportunity to practice my photography skills. Still bad, but I think it’s okay for a nooby like me. I was using daddy’s Nikon D90. Some pictures are taken by my sister using uncle’s Nikon D3100. Also, from here I learnt that taking pictures in RAW and just JPEG has difference especially when it comes to editing.

I thought I have mastered the knowledge of Shutter speed and Aperture, but whenever I hold a DSLR, I fail to understand. Settings will never get right! Anyways, way way way way way lots to learn!

I like the blue sky. Haha, edited it! With RAW, the sky can turn blue when I edit. Without RAW, no matter how much I enhance, the sky will never turn blue but the sea will turn as muddy as it can.

I have watched somewhere on YouTube, that, do not glue onto your handphone and ignore the guests.

Photobucket
Well, they are the guests. And they are all on the phone. Even Tarnia! All facebooking except for Tarnia, playing with her games on her mommy’s iPhone.
Tarnia knows which is iPhone 3Gs and iPhone 4!

Kids are all so smart these days. And they make us happy! =)

Photobucket
Always looking forward for CNY because of the smiles we put on our faces. Everyone is happy, and I hope we all can be as happy as that all the time!

Photobucket
Wishing all of you a very happy new year! Well wishes and be prosperous in this year and in the near future!
